They hid behind a thick cluster of lush green shrubbery that concealed them from the two men clad in black walking past. They watched as the two men stopped to look at the markings on the floor and continued onwards.
"It worked!" whispered Kai excitedly.
"Let's just wait until they're gone before we start celebrating." replied Caleb in a tone significantly calmer than that of his companion.

A few hours later, once they were sure their pursuers were long gone, Kai and Caleb stood and headed east; the men in black having gone west.
They had been walking for a while when Caleb broke the silence with a question, "So, this world of yours, is it very different from this world; my world?"
Kai answered, "In some ways, it is not so different at all, in others, it is so vastly different it may be difficult for me to explain it to you."
Caleb took it in, then replied, "That's not much of an answer is it?"
