"Why?" Caleb whimpered.
"I apologize Caleb, it seems I have brought ruin into your life." Kai said as he sat up and turned towards the man whose life he'd most likely ruined. He continued, "Those were agents of the black legion, they must have followed me through the cave."
Caleb slowly turned his head towards Kai, a deep burning pain clearly seething in his soul. Taking a deep breathe in a desperate attempt to calm himself, he said through gritted teeth, "Why would they do that to her? My dear Nali. Why?"
"The black legion are the elite forces in dark lord Morguloth's army." said Kai, as if that explained everything. When Caleb simply stared back at him, tears streaming down his face, Kai continued, "Morguloth is the very personification of evil, a self-appointed ambassador himself, his only goal is world domination."
"But, why are they here? Why would they do that to her?" cried Caleb, his eyes bloodshot and his hands shaking.
