Day 75

The light's apparent proximity spurred them into a run; unfortunately the light's were no where near as close as they seemed in the jungle night, and by the time they arrived at the gates, not only were they exhausted, they were now drenched in a mixture of mud and sweat which would frighten away even the most fiendish of monsters.

Tired and foul smelling, Caleb and Kai stood there staring up at the gargantuan castle gate, walls and towers. Mouths agape, neither had ever seen anything of similar scale and, at the moment, neither was sure they weren't dreaming.

They were shaken from their state of shock as a small door in one of the large gates opened with a creak, and a man walked out and called to them, "You there! What's your business? Why are you traveling at night?"
