In a rather awkward coincidence, but
Kai and Caleb said at the same time, "Pleasure to meet you,
Reginald." Their host laughed, and shook his head, as both of
them turned red.
As they continued further in, the world
became increasingly luxurious in every way; each detail they noticed
was more lavish than the last. Impressed at the man's obvious wealth,
they were even more impressed by Reginald's apparently down to earth
and pleasant attitude.
He took them around a corner, around
which was an already open doorway leading into a vast ceremonial
hall. In the center of the large room, was a massive oak table, a
dozen or so people already seated.
As soon as they walked in the door, all
heads turned towards them, and silence dominated the air.
